SERVE
Today's reading: 2 Chronicles 10-12
"The Levites even abandoned their homes and property and moved to Judah and Jerusalem, because Jeroboam and his sons would not allow them to serve the Lord." 2 Chronicles 11:14 NLT
Serve-to be of use.
I believe it's time.
Yep, the time has come.
We, Christians, need to be reminded that serving God has less to do with what we want to do than what He needs done.
God asks that we 'be of use'.
Not necessarily that we be 'up front', be recognized or be in the spotlight.
No matter where it is.
No matter the task.
No matter who notices.
This is the perfect week for this 'realization'--it's Vacation Bible School week.
There are SO many things being done, up front on the stage, in the kitchen as snacks are prepared, in the homes of the praying saints who cannot make it to church each evening, in the janitor's closet as the mayhem is swept up each evening, in the pews as little ones are comforted as mom drops them off for the first time.
Be of use--where ever it is He has you!
