BEING SILENT

Today's reading: 1 Corinthians 13-14

"Women should be silent during the church meetings. It is not proper for them to speak. They should be submissive, just at the law says." 1 Corinthians 14:34 NLT

While many might take offense to this verse, claiming women's rights, equality and gender bias--I take comfort in its words!

When I get to church, after the rush of the week, the busyness of Sunday morning, the hustle and bustle of getting everyone up, dressed, to the church on time--I get to be quiet.

To be still.

To be present.

To be in God's house.

And not say a word.

To soak.

To absorb.

To take it all in.
