READY AND WAITING--BUT NOT SITTIN' AROUND
Today's reading: Revelation 12-17
"Take note, I will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Blessed are all who are watching for me, who keep their robes ready, so they will not need to walk naked and ashamed." Revelation 16:15 NLT
If Christ were to return today. Or if you were to draw your last breath. Would you be ready to stand before the Lord?
Are your robes sparkling white, forgiveness-bleached, on you and ready for ascending into His presence?
Or are their a few stains needing your attention? A few grudges muddying your robe? A habit that's keeping your whites, well, a little less than snowy?
As His children, we must be ready and waiting for His return--ready, as in packed and anticipating. Looking for Him to split open the eastern sky--but not sitting around twiddling our thumbs. Expecting Him to draw us unto Him--and wearing our very best robes of white!
