WHAT HAVE THEY HEARD
Today's reading:  Colossians 1-2

"We always pray for you, and we give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for we have heard that you trust in Christ Jesus and that you love all of God's people."  Colossians 1:3-4 NLT

When folks talk about what 'they've heard', it usually has a negative connotation.  They've heard a rumor or they've heard quite a story or they've had someone bending their ear about partial truths.

You see, bad news travels a lot faster than good news ever will.

So for Paul to have heard that the church of Colosse was trusting and loving--well, he was thrilled!

Makes me think...

What is being said about me?  What are others saying?  Are they noticing love or faith in my life?  Enough to talk about it?
