A MEAL WITH THE LORD
Today's reading: Leviticus 1-3
Leviticus 3 talks about the procedures for a Peace Offering, or in some translations, a Fellowship Offering.
From what I have read up on it, it included far more than just dropping an animal off at the Temple and turning it over to the priest on duty. There was participation involved. There were basic cooking skills shared. There were even parts of the meat given back to the one who offered the animal for sacrifice for his family to consume.
What a concept!
A meal with the Lord.
A potluck with God.
A dinner with our Savior.
There is nothing like sitting around the table, feasting, fellowshipping, recalling fond memories and having fun with people you love.
But to do it with the Lord?
To have fellowship with Him?
