AWE OF HIM
Today's reading: 2 Chronicles 6-10


"When Solomon finished praying, fire flashed down from heaven and burned up the burnt offerings and sacrifices, and the glorious presence of the Lord filled the Temple. ² The priests could not enter the Temple of the Lord because the glorious presence of the Lord filled it. ³ When all the people of Israel saw the fire coming down and the glorious presence of the Lord filling the Temple, they fell face down on the ground and worshiped and praised the Lord, saying, “He is good! His faithful love endures forever!” 2 Chronicles 7:1-3 NLT


That day it was fire flashing down from heaven and the, from what I understand, the visible presence of God that awed the people and brought them to their knees in worship.


Today it may not be fire. It may not be a Shekinah glory billowing about us. It may not be something other than what we feel and know.


But He is still awe inspiring, this Holy God of ours.


He is all around us. He is in us. He is about us. He is above us. He is before us. He is behind us. He is ahead of us. He is with us.
