MEASURES OF JUDGEMENT

Today's reading: Matthew 5-7

"...Whatever measure you use in judging others, it will be used to measure how you are judged." Matthew 7:2 NLT

Be very careful how you 'look down' upon another.

Tattooed, carrying a record, closets full of ghosts, lists of wrongdoings, coming from the wrong side of the tracks--you might be looking in a mirror!

We've all been marked with a label not of our choosing.

All of us have a 'rap sheet' of sins against God.

There are things in every one of our lives we would just as soon keep covered up, buried or undiscovered.

Few if any of us are Jewish born, having been given priestly lineage except by grace.

But God stepped in and showed us mercy.

He gave us His love.

Undeserved.

Unmerited.

Unable to repay His kindness.

Remember that when you judge another by their appearance, actions or words.
