NOT MY JOB
Today's reading:  John 16-18

"And when he comes, he will convince the world of its sin, and of God's righteousness, and of the coming judgement."  John 16:8 NLT

I've been attempting to do the Holy Spirit's job.

I've given my best effort to saving the world.  I've done an outstanding favor to a lot of folks by pointing out their sins.  I've dressed in my finest righteousness garb and strutted in front of them.  And still I've not convinced them. 

Come to find out--it's not my job.

God tells me to live out His love for others to see.  God tells me to praise His name.   God asks me to present the Gospel to those I'm able to.

The rest?  The rest is up to God, the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ.

I think I'll stick to my job and allow them plenty of room to do theirs!
