HANG ON
Today's reading: 2 Thessalonians

"With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip on everything we taught you both in person and by letter." 2 Thessalonians 2:15 NLT

Paul is telling the believers in the church at Thessalonica to call on every memory, every sermon, every lesson given , every story told around the communal table, every parable explained, every verse quoted, every testimony shared, every single thing he had shared about God, Christ and living out the Gospel.

And he was asking them to grab on to those moments with both hands.

To keep them close to their hearts.

To keep them fresh on their minds.

To make sure their impacts were not watered down with current events or from re-telling.

He is telling us the same thing today!

Because we need the power those accounts provide us. The impact they have on our lives. The encouragement they provide. The excitement they stir up within us. The incentive they give us. The reason to go on they promote.

So hang on to them. Hang on to Him!
