NOT LIKE YOU DO

Today's reading: 1 Samuel 16-20

"...The Lord doesn't make decisions the way you do!.." 1 Samuel 16:7 NLT

I'm not sure if you needed this reminder today--maybe it was just for me, but here it is.

The Lord doesn't think like we do.

Act like we might act.

He doesn't use the same time frames we use, calendars we hold close to our hearts or planners we base our lives upon.

He does not appropriate His answers based upon our limited views of the here and now or on how we are currently feeling.

He doesn't merely consider one person when He makes decisions.

He goes beyond one view of a situation, one side of a story and one dimension of time and place.

So when His answers, His timing, His ways don't line up with yours--celebrate it! Trust it! Praise Him for it!
