COUNTING ON THE LORD
Today's reading: Psalm 128-130
"I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word." Psalm 130:5 NLT
Counting on the Lord...
I think I know what that means, it means I know God will.
Is that all?
Let's dig a little deeper into the word used in the original Hebrew writings.
To 'count on the Lord' means to wait on, look for, hope, or expect.
It's multi-faceted.
It requires more than just thinking the Lord will do what He says He will do.
It's building a life upon the trust you have in Him...
It's believing, wholeheartedly, that 'it' will come to pass...
It's eagerly anticipating when He will perform...
It's speaking it in our conversations-not 'if', but 'when'...
It's taking the next step because you know, you know, that He will do His part...
Are you counting on the Lord to that degree?
