BEING LED

Today's reading: Exodus 21-24

"See, I am sending my angel before you to lead you safely to the land I have prepared for you." Exodus 23:20 NLT

We know God loved/loves the Israelite people. 

He chose them.

He made promises to them.

He gave them a land.

He gave them a high status in the world they/we lived/live in.

As surely as the Bible points to that fact, it points to the fact that He loves us, His children, as much.

He chose us.

He makes promises to us.

He gives us a land, a heavenly land.

He has given us high status, a royal calling, in this world we live in.

And just like He did for the Israelites, He has given us a guide, a leader while here on earth--the Holy Spirit.

This Spirit directs our paths. This Spirit holds our hands, and teaches us when to hold our tongues. This Spirit allows us to participate in and to see God at work.

He loves us that much.
