I WILL REMEMBER
Today's reading: Genesis 8-11
"I have placed my rainbow in the clouds, It is the sign of my permanent promise to you and to all the earth. When I send clouds over the earth, the rainbow will be seen in the clouds, and I will remember my covenant with you and everything that lives. Never again will there be a flood that will destroy all life." Genesis 9:13-15 NLT
I will tell you this:
I am so very glad...
So very, very glad...
That when the rainbow appears amidst the storm clouds and the Lord begins to 'remember', it is His goodness He is recalling, not my failures and faults.
He is bringing to mind His goodness and mercy.
He is remembering His faithfulness.
He is being reminded of His grace-filled acts of love.
It's His greatness the rainbow is an elegant portrayal of--and nothing at all to do with me, with us, with the human race in general.
