SET APART
Today's reading: Leviticus 19-21

"So set yourselves apart to be holy, for I, the Lord, am your God." Leviticus 20:7 NLT

If you are a saved, born again believer, then you have been given the God-granted holiness by way of Jesus' blood and the gift of salvation.

If you are a saved, born again believer, then you have also been given the opportunity to stand out in the crowd. To swim upstream, per se. To not blend in with society.

Too many Christians are attempting to unite with the world to an extent that all lines are blurred as to what they believe. Sadly, fewer and fewer Christians are known for their 'different-ness'.

This morning as I read over this verse, I am convicted of the ways in which I am too worldly, too earth-bound. I'm spending too much time and energy settling in to this place, when I am just a traveler, heading toward another country, my home.
