OUR ENEMY
Today's reading:  2 Samuel 1-4


Four chapters of turmoil and name upon name of David's enemies.


David, a man after God's own heart.


David, a man trying to do what God had called him to do.


David, a man of God.


David's life tells us all something very, very important...if we are His, we have an enemy.


It's not the people who we think are out to get us.


It's not the walking skin that hurts our feelings and steps on our toes.


It's not the fellow bundles of God-needing DNA that are workers of evil.


It's satan.  It's only satan.  It will always be satan.  It will never be anyone but satan.


Be aware of your enemy!
