WORTHLESS
Today's reading: 1 Samuel 13-15

"Saul and his men spared Agag's life and kept the best of the sheep and cattle, the fat calves and lambs--everything, in fact, that appealed to them. They destroyed only what was worthless or of poor quality." 1 Samuel 15:9 NLT

Worthless-lacking value.

Saul was told to destroy EVERYTHING when they conquered the Amalekites. Everything.

He took it upon himself to save the things he though had value, or worth.

That's the problem with us--what we consider worthwhile, God considered worthless.

Our mindset isn't the same as God's.

If He is telling us something is worthless in our lives, we need to believe wholeheartedly that it indeed it!

We don't need to ponder all the time we've invested into it...

We don't need to consider the comfort it's always brought us...

We don't need to think about the part of our identity it has always provided...

What is worthless in God's eyes is worthless in our own lives!
