WHAT ARE MY REASONS?
Today's reading:  Matthew 1-2

"Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod.  About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, Where is the newborn king of the Jews?  We have seen his star as it arose, and we have come to worship him."  Matthew 2:1-2 NLT

The three wise men came seeking Jesus in order to worship Him.

They did not come to see what they could get from Him.  They did not travel in order to receive blessings and gifts which a King could bestow upon them.  They did not want to do anything other than worship Him.

Makes me think about my own reasons for attending church, praying in His name and singing along with the choir.

What am I doing it for, if not solely for worshipping His name?
