ORDER OF EVENTS
Today's reading: Job 21-22
"If you return to the Almighty and clean up your life, you will be restored." Job 22:23 NLT
I believe a huge part of our faith is trusting God with His order of events.
Example? Today's verse.
Too many folks believe they need to 'clean up their act' before coming to the Lord. That's not what His Word says.
God wants us to bring all we have to Him--no matter how dirty, crumpled, broken or dark--and trust Him to help us with the clean-up.
Makes me think, soul search, what it might be I'm trying to polish up before giving to Him completely? What am I attempting to whitewash before handing over to Him? Where might I be sweeping things under the rug in an attempt to make the rooms of my heart more presentable?
