IN THE MIDST OF EVERYTHING
Today's reading: Job 9-12
"You gave me life and showed me your unfailing love. My life was preserved by your care." Job 10:12 NLT
What if--In the midst of everything bad, discouraging, disappointing and doubt-filled in our lives, we were to stop, as Job did, and re-state God's love and provision?
Really, what if we were to do that?
To stop the dreading and fretting and re-focus on how He is the one holding everything together for us.
To cease from crying, even if for a moment, and life our faces up to say 'thanks'.
To, for a while, push aside the pain and hurt in these bodies we carry around and really, from the heart, tell Him how great He is.
To pause long enough to take our own pulse--and remember He causes our hearts to beat, our lungs to fill and our bodies to function.
Job did.
In the middle of everything he was enduring...and I think it made a world of difference for him.
