WHAT CAN'T BE DONE
Today's reading: Genesis 28:10-29:35, Matthew 9, Psalm 11
"As Jesus was saying this, the leader of a synagogue came and knelt down before him. My daughter has just died, he said, but you can bring her back to life again if you just come and lay your hand upon her." Matthew 9:18 NLT
Do you seek God for the impossible?
The things that just cannot happen?
The needs no one on earth and nothing short of a miracle can supply?
Or do you just seek Him for the probabilities?
The good chances?
The quite possibles?
This man came to Jesus expecting nothing short of a miracle--and he got it.
This man presented his request to the only One who could help at that time.
This man went to the only place he could--and he got what he went after.
This man has nothing on us--we can do the same thing.
Maybe, just maybe, it's time we quit making anemic requests of the One who hung the stars in place!
