CHURCH FOLKS

Today's reading: Jeremiah 29-31

"...Multiply! Do not dwindle away!" Jeremiah 29:6 NLT

Jeremiah was speaking a prophecy give to him by God. It was to the Jewish people who were about to be taken into captivity. These instructions were for the 'church folks' while they were in these troubled times.

He told them to, in an easy to understand translation, Keep on keeping on!

And I believe He is telling us the same thing today.

While we wind down this pandemic.

While our government seems to be in an uproar.

While the world seems to be heading to hell in a handbasket.

Church folks, we must continue to multiply--we cannot afford to dwindle away!

We need to keep sharing the Gospel.

We need to keep speaking Jesus into our conversations.

We need to continue hoping in this dark world, because ONLY our faith will direct some folks to Christ.

So friends, do not dwindle away!
