REQUIRING SOME EFFORT
Today's reading: 2 Chronicles 12-16

"But whenever you were in distress and turned to the Lord, the God of Israel, and sought him out, you found him." 2 Chronicles 15:4 NLT

God does so very much for us that sometimes we forget we have to do a few things in order that our relationship flourish and grow.

He saves, but we have to accept His salvation.

He rescues, but we have to call out to Him.

He redeems, or buys us back from the slavery we've sold ourselves into, but we have to seek His help.

He restores, but we have to be willing to quit returning to what broke us in the first place.

We have a part to play in our friendship with God, a much smaller part than His, but a part none the less.

It requires some effort, but it rewards us immensely!
