SET FREE
Today's reading: Colossians 1-2

"You have died with Christ, and he has set you free from the evil powers of this world..." Colossians 2:20 NLT

Let's get this out in the open first and foremost...To have died with Christ means you have admitted to Him your need for a Savior, you have believed in Him-His virgin birth, His death on the cross and His powerful resurrection, and you have confessed those beliefs to Him and to others.

If you have done those things...

If you have truly repented of the sins in your life and have turned away from them...

If you believe His power and love are so overwhelming that they overcome your shortcomings...

Then, and only then, you will be free.

Free from the pull of satan. Free from the drag-you-down influence of the world. Free from the death you deserve based upon your sins. Free from the old you.
