CRY OUT
Today's reading: 1 Chronicles 5-6
"They cried out to God during the battle, and he answered their prayer because they trusted in him." 1 Chronicles 5:20 NLT
The paragraph of verses this gem is nestled into starts out with these words...
"There were 44,760 skilled warriors in the army of Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh. They were all skilled in combat and armed with shields, swords and bows."
These were not butchers, bakers and candle-stick makers, these were men honed for war. Raised for battle. Trained in turmoil.
And still they had to call out to God.
Their resources, their strengths, their abilities failed them.
Maybe you're there.
Maybe you are almost there.
You've exhausted your reserves. You've used every strength you have. You've utilized your God-given strengths. And still the battle is not turning in your favor.
Do you trust God enough to call out to Him for help?
No, just because it's all your fault doesn't keep Him from helping.
No, He's not too busy helping another well-deserving soul to help you.
No, it's never too deep into the battle, too far gone or too much deserved.
Cry out.
Then keep your eyes peeled for His answers!
