PLANTING
Today's reading: 2 Corinthians 9-10
"Remember this--a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop." 2 Corinthians 9:6 NLT
The anhydrous tanks, plows and planters have moved in and out of our neighborhood the past few days.
The ground has been enhanced, broken and inoculated with seed.
We should see tiny corn sprouts within the week...the littlest signs of hope, anticipation and promise.
Our farmers don't just throw one corn kernel out per field. They plant millions of them over the course of several acres. Kernels that will grow several ears per stalk and several more kernels per ear.
They want a big crop, so they plant accordingly.
I need to do that with my life.
I need to put out more smiles, in hopes of a good return.
I need to share more of the love of my Lord, in hopes of a bountiful harvest.
I need to pour more into the lives of others, in hopes of more fruit than I could gather.
Maybe, just maybe, you do too.
