EFFORT
Today's reading:  2 Peter

"So make every effort to apply the benefits of these promises to your life..."  2 Peter 1:5 NLT

God's promises for our taking.

But there will be some effort required on our part.

Some effort.  Some days more effort than others.

Some energy put into making ourselves believe when we don't want to...continuing on when it hurts...forgiving when everything in us tells us to hold a grudge...standing alone...knowing, without a doubt, that you're not alone.

It takes some effort on our part to take Him up on His promises.

But, friend, it'll be so worth it!
