HE IS GOD
Today's reading:  Nahum

"The Lord is a jealous God, filled with vengeance and wrath.  He takes revenge on all who oppose him and furiously destroys his enemies!  The Lord is slow to get angry, but his power is great, and he never lets the guilty go unpunished.  He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm."  Nahum 1:2-3 NLT

Just what I needed this morning.

I needed to be reminded that my God is jealous.  That I need to check and double check what/who it is that I'm putting ahead of Him...especially if it's myself!

I needed to be reminded that He is for me.  That my enemies are His enemies.  That He is against them and He will conquer them for me!

I needed to be reminded that He is patient and loving, but that He is also just.  He is merciful to me but He disciplines out of love.  He extends grace but He'll also walk me to the woodshed when I needed it.

I needed to be reminded of His power.  That He is in control of everything.  His ways are perfect and His timing is impeccable.
