STALKING AWAY
Today's reading: 2 Kings 5:1-6:23, Acts 7:1-16, Psalm 101
"But Naaman became angry and stalked away." 2 Kings 5:11 NLT
No one hurt Naaman's feelings.
Naaman wasn't given bad news.
Naaman wasn't even rejected.
Naaman wasn't even asked to do a hard thing.
It's just, well, it's just that Naaman was instructions that didn't line up with his expectations.
Been there?
Ever asked God to grow your faith--then didn't like the circumstances He allowed to do it?
Ever sought God's answer--only to find it wasn't what you wanted to hear?
Ever needed God's direction--but then found it to rub roughly against your own plans?
Ever asked God to change circumstances for someone--only to be the one He asked to change?
We've all stalked away, like Naaman did, but our spiritual growth, the leap of faith, the solidifying of our relationship with God is when we come back--and do just what He asked.
And receive our healing.
