BREAKING THE CYCLE
Today's reading: Amos 1-4

"...They have rejected the laws of the Lord, refusing to obey him. They have been led astray by the same lies that deceived their ancestors." Amos 2:4 NLT

Satan has no new tactics.

He doesn't come up with any new ideas.

He plays the same old cards, day in and day out, year after year, for generation after generation.

And we fall for every one of his lies.

And if we don't make some changes, real changes, life-changing, God-centered, no going back to our old ways, changes--our kids will fall for the same lies.

Our kids need to see us stopping and looking for and listening for truth, God's truth.

They need to see us choosing God's way.

They need to hear us speak of God in a present tense, not just us using words from the Bible or giving visionary statements about heaven--He's got to be in our waking hours.

We have the opportunity to break the cycle...or to continue it!
