OVERWHELMED

Today's reading: Psalm 140-142

'Tis the season for busy schedules, hectic weeks and lots of good opportunities.

One can fill up evening quicker than Santa can fill a stocking.

We can over-schedule Christmas parties, Christmas play practices, Christmas meals and Christmas shopping with friends.

We can spend lots of money, lots of time, lots of energy and lots of hours doing good things.

But are we choosing the best things?

Are you inviting Jesus, the reason for the season, into your planning?

Are you putting the Birthday Boy at the center of your festivities?

Are you making sure Christ is in your Christmas?

My prayer is this, for you and for me, that everyday of our Christmas season is filled with Jesus--opportunities to share Him, decisions to seek Him, ways in which we have glorified Him.

Let's turn this Christmas on its head and celebrate the real Gift Giver.
