A MAN AFTER GOD'S OWN HEART

Today's reading: 1 Samuel 21-25

I've noticed something about David in reading these chapters this morning.

I see him as brave.

I see him as loyal.

I see him as determined to follow God's lead.

But most of all, I see him as a questioner of God.

Not of God's ways.

Or God's timing.

Or God's purpose.

I see David choose, in so many instances, to question God BEFORE HE EVER STEPS FORWARD TO DO A TASK!

Should I, Lord?

Will You, Lord?

Can I, Lord?

This brave, strong, make-things-happen shepherd turned king, made the time to seek God's will and direction.

A lesson for us all!
