MONDAY REMINDER
Today's reading: Job 9-10
"You guided my conception and formed me in the womb. You clothed me with skin and flesh, and you knit my bones and sinews together. You have me life and showed me your unfailing love. My life was preserved by your care." Job 10:10-12 NLT
It seems to me that a Monday morning is the perfect time for a mental reset. A personal inventory. A spiritual about-face.
Monday is a good day to live out what I've heard on Sunday and attempt to do-over what I messed up last week.
Job's words are perfectly placed in my eyesight this morning for such a mission.
His words are a great reminder of just who I am because of God.
These three verses, though spoken in pain and anguish, advise me of my role as created. Merely, but lovingly, created.
Job's words prompt me to place the appropriate praise at God's feet.
His statement suggests that who I am pales in comparison to who He is.
His emotion emphasizes to me the honor, glory and awe I owe Him--today and every day.
Did you need that Monday reminder? Did you need a prompting as to how big our God is?
