BUT
Today's reading: Psalm 12-14
"Don't let my enemies gloat, saying, We have defeated him! Don't let them rejoice at my downfall. But I trust in your unfailing love, I will rejoice because you have rescued me." Psalm 13:5 NLT
The word, 'but', is pivotal.
The word, 'but', changes the course of ideas and thoughts.
The word, 'but', proves our level of faith.
How, you ask?
I don't understand the things going on in this world...but I trust in Your unfailing love.
I don't know how things will work out...but I trust in Your unfailing love.
I don't know what You're going to do with this mess I've made...but I trust in Your unfailing love.
Do you see where the word, 'but', links the truth of how you might feel with the dependence upon His sovereignty? That's faith!
The word, 'but', says I'm choosing to stay close to God because I want to see His majesty at work. That's faith!
