FILLED WITH SORROW

Today's reading: Psalm 15-17

"Those who chase after other gods will be filled with sorrow..." Psalm 16:4 NLT

I know a gal, rather personally to be honest, that has chased after other gods--and it didn't end well for her.

She, metaphorically speaking, laced up her running shoes, and pursued these idols with all she had.

Time.

Effort.

Blood.

Sweat.

Tears.

Money.

Dedication.

And she caught up with them. Had them in her possession. Was known by her association with them. Allowed them to label her, consume her--suck the life out of her.

Because you see, gods, even the littlest of them, are life-stealers, not life-givers!
