TAKING HIM SERIOUSLY

Today's reading: Isaiah 18-22

"The Lord, the Lord Almighty, called you to weep and mourn. He told you to shave your heads in sorrow for your sins and to wear clothes of sackcloth to show your remorse. But instead, you dance and play, you slaughter sacrificial animals, feast on meat and drink wine..." Isaiah 22:12-13 NLT

Isaiah was called to prophesy to the people about impending judgement for their sins.

He proclaimed the word of the Lord to the very people God was wanting to save from his own judgement.

But few took his words seriously.

What about us?

Do we take the Word of God seriously?

Seriously enough to change our behavior? To change our lifestyles? To change what we say? To change how we live?

God is serious about how He desires us to walk, talk and share Him with others.

He is serious about the end times coming. He is serious about the consequences of sin. He is serious about the heat of hell.

Are you taking Him seriously?
