STUMBLING INTO SIN

Today's reading: Ezekiel 7-12

"They will throw away their money, tossing it out like worthless trash. It won't buy their deliverance in that day of the Lord's anger. It will neither satisfy nor feed them, for their love of money made them stumble into sin." Ezekiel 7:19 NLT

Let's say money isn't your 'idol of choice'.

The lure of it doesn't appeal to you.

The accumulation of it doesn't give you a sense of security.

The thoughts of it doesn't drive you to work too much or become too sinister in your business dealings.

If money isn't your 'thing', what is?

What causes you to stumble into sin?

What takes your eyes, heart and thoughts off of God?

What person, place or thing makes you desire it more than pleasing the Lord?

We all have something. Or some things.

Things that we are so bent on carrying with us, we stumble with the weight of juggling it all.

Things that we feel complete us, but leave us emptier and hungrier, never satisfying.

Things that we place more hope in than the One who created us.

What's making you stumble into sin?
