MORNING WALKS
Today's reading: Psalm 63-65
"...From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy." Psalm 65:8 NLT
Our little spot on the prairie affords us the best picture frames for sunrises and sunsets.
Each morning while I am on my walk I am greeted with God's majesty rising on the eastern horizon. Across fields, atop trees, amidst clouds.
Each evening from our little porch I watch as the sun sets in the western sky. Beyond the rise of the hill, slipping over the curve of the earth, settling in as the moon takes its watch.
Few things stir a heart to worship as do sunrises and sunsets.
They are like being given a 'Good morning, beautiful!' and an 'Until we meet again!' from the Lord.
Artists cannot capture it.
Writers cannot describe it.
Late risers and those busied with the end of day tasks can miss out on them.
But God is faithful to provide them each and every day...as He has for generations...as He will until He returns.
He truly does, by the works of His hands, inspire shouts of joy!
