LET'S SEE

Today's reading: Isaiah 56-61

"Let's see if your idols can do anything for you when you cry to them for help. They are so helpless that a breath of wind can knock them down! But whoever trusts in me will possess the land and inherit my holy mountain." Isaiah 57:13 NLT

Maybe it's tough love.

Maybe it's considered consequential.

Maybe it's just what happens when a Sovereign God is exhausted by His created.

He let's them do what they want.

He allows them to see just what they can do on their own.

He lets them lean on their idols--and find out for themselves just how very flimsy and unreliable they are.

It's the only way some of us will ever learn the lesson.

You know it's true.
