GOD IS LAUGHING
Today's reading: Psalm 57-59
"But Lord, you laugh at them. You scoff at the hostile nations." Psalm 59:8 NLT
I tremble at the shadows in the night, but the Lord laughs knowing just what makes the images in the dark.
I shake at the thought of the unknown, but the Lord laughs knowing the next minute and the next hour and the next ten thousand years.
I attempt to run and hide from my enemy and his vicious attacks, but the Lord laughs knowing the enemy has no more power and no more victories left in him since the cross.
I begin to believe the lies, but the Lord laughs knowing He has placed the truth in me and with His help I will find it again.
I worry over what I have done, cannot imagine doing and what I might be asked to do, but the Lord laughs knowing that in Him and through Him and with Him, all things are possible.
I cry over my sins, the same ones I've repeated time and time again, the same ones that make me ashamed to come to His throne another time--but the Lord laughs, welcoming me into His arms with a smile and a heart full of forgiveness!
