BUILDING A MONUMENT
Today's reading: 2 Samuel 15-19
"During his lifetime, Absalom had built a monument to himself in the King's Valley, for he said, I have no son to carry on my name. He named the monument after himself, and it is known as Absalom's Monument to this day." 2 Samuel 18:18 NLT
Lord, I hear you whisper this morning.
Kind, loving words.
Instructions for me to take to heart.
Gentle guidance.
'Be careful, dear child, what you attempt to build for yourself.'
You're right, Lord.
I've watched my towers fall block by block. I've seen my attempts tumble to the ground. I've stood beside many a pile of rubble that could have once been my best tries.
I want to build monuments in my life that honor You.
A life that points people to You.
A home that focuses on You.
A legacy that shines for You.
A testimony that has Your name written all over it!
