FEAR OF THE LORD
Today's reading:  Proverbs 8-9

"Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.  Knowledge of the Holy One results in understanding."  Proverbs 9:10 NLT

It's not the shaking in our boots fear.  It's not the constantly worrying about whether or not He will zap us with a bolt of lightning.  It's not the strict teacher always looking over our shoulder kind of fear.

It's the fear of anything, anything at all, getting in the way of a relationship with the Savior of our souls.

It's the being scared to death that He could be disappointed by anything we do, say or think.

It's the utmost of dependence upon Him for our very next breath, our next heart beat and our next moment.

It's the ultimate in respect.  In awe of Him.  In admiration and respect of Who He is--and how privileged we are to be invited in to His presence.

Do you 'fear' Him like that?  Are you wise by having that reverence for Him?
