GOD'S WRATH
Today's reading: Ezekiel 19-24
"Destruction! Destruction! I will surely destroy the kingdom. And it will not be restored until the one appears who has the right to judge it. Then I will hand it over to him." Ezekiel 21:27 NLT
It would be nice if God were only about love like some churches, pastors and church-goers believe.
That would be a butterfly and rainbow filled daydream, wouldn't it?
But there is so much more to God than love. As a matter of fact, in order for Him to love as deeply as He loves, He also must be as just as He is and as righteous as He is and as unchanging as He is.
You see, He asks for respect. He commands that we obey Him. He demands honor--because He is honorable.
He holds the judgement on our eternal life in His hands. He has also provided us a Bible-ful of ways in which He expects us to live in the manner He expects. He has also provided grace and mercy for where we fall short--fall short in trying to fulfill His commands, that is!
