CHECKING MY LIST...TWICE
Today's reading:  James 4-5

"And even when you do ask, you don't get it because your whole motive is wrong--you want what will give you pleasure."  James 4:3 NLT

I've got quite a prayer request list laid out before the Lord right now.  This verse has gotten me to thinking about it though.

Am I asking for what would increase His kingdom--or what would make life easier for me?

Am I asking with eternal motive--or in accordance with the plans I have laid out?

Am I asking for comfort--or that my testimony be evident of His glory?

Am I asking all wrong?
