I GET IT
Today's reading: Psalm 96-98
It's listed this morning in two places:
"Sing a new song to the Lord! Let the whole earth sing to the Lord!" Psalm 96:1 NLT
"Sing a new song to the Lord, for he as done wonderful deeds. He has won a mighty victory by his power and holiness." Psalm 98:1 NLT
Noticing it twice, reading it twice, it grabbing my attention twice--I get it!
Yes, it's been said of that I'm one fry short of a Happy Meal.
That I'm a few peas short of a casserole.
A banana shy of a split.
A few feathers short of a duck.
But I get this!
God's needing to hear something new from me. He's tired of the same old song and dance number I recite to Him day in and day out. He's ready to hear me whistling a new tune.
