The older I get...

The wiser I become...

The more Christlike I strive to be...

The more I want God to be glorified more than me!

Oh, when I was younger, I wanted the applause. I wanted the accolades. I wanted to be recognized.

But now?

Now, I want the spotlight on God!

I want Him recognized in the 'program'. I want Him to be honored and glorified!

I will say, 'Yes', but I don't want my name associated with it--but I do want His fingerprints all over it.

Because you see, in all this growing and maturing I've done, I've found that my name means nothing and His name means everything.

My association with something has the stench of failure from the get-go, His participation ensures victory and success.

My input and opinions will usually muddy the water, His hand in it always, always, brings forth springs of life, hope and love.

Oh, that people will see more of Him and less of me!
