PERSISTENT PRAYER
Today's reading: Luke 17-18
"A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, appealing for justice against someone who had harmed her. The judge ignored her for a while, but eventually she wore him out. I fear neither God nor man, he said to himself, but this woman is driving me crazy. I'm going to see that she gets justice because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!" Luke 18:3-4 NLT
Persistence. Tenacity. Grit. Doggedness. Resolution. Constancy.
I don't know about you, but reading about this praying woman stirs my heart.
To ask.
To request.
To pray.
To keep seeking.
To continue knocking.
To be so determined in prayer and so dependent upon the One to whom I pray that I don't stop.
Until I get to heaven.
And when the Lord sees me standing before Him, he says...
Girl, you are a persistent one!
