ARGUING WITH THE ALMIGHTY
Today's reading: Job 39-40
"Then the Lord said to Job, Do you still want to argue with the Almighty? You are God's critic, but do you have the answers?" Job 40:1 NLT
This verse could be written as such...
Then the Lord said to Malinda, Do you still want to argue with the Almighty? You are God's critic, but do you have the answers?
Don't laugh.
I'm sure you do it, too.
From our single dimensional view point, we question, doubt and critique God's timing, choices, ways and abilities.
From our self-built pedestals, we believe we know more than Him.
From the middle of our messes, most of them produced by our own choices, we doubt His goodness and His love for us.
We dole out advice to our Creator like we do the neighbor kids coming for Halloween treats.
But do we have all the answers?
Do we see everything, for all time, into the hearts of others OR with perfect vision?
Do we even have the capacity to know the things we only think we know?
I believe God can ask each of us the same questions He asked Job...
Do you still want to argue with Me?
Do you have all the answers?
