SEEK HIM FOR US
Today's reading: Jeremiah 37-41
"But neither King Zedekiah nor his officials nor the people who were left listened to what the Lord said through Jeremiah. Nevertheless, King Zedekiah sent Jehucal son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah the priest, son of Maaseiah, to ask Jeremiah, Please pray to the Lord our God for us." Jeremiah 37:2-3 NLT
They ridicule us.
They refuse to acknowledge our God.
They accuse of us needing the 'crutch' of religion and relationship.
They scoff at the commands and the promises of blessing.
They want no part of it...
Until disaster strikes. A diagnosis drops on them like a bomb. A crisis arises.
Then, then, they ask us to pray.
To seek the Lord for them.
To turn to our God with their need.
Nothing has changed in all this time.
But, and here's the ray of hope, they see enough of Him in us to seek us out!
