PAUSING

Today's reading: Job 23-24

"...I would go to his throne and talk with him there. I would lay out my case and present my arguments. Then I would listen to his reply and understand what he says to me." Job 23:3-5 NLT

Laying out our complaints before God comes quite easily.

Presenting our arguments almost seem natural.

But listening to His reply and understanding His response?

Boy, that's hard.

Well, not hard--but not something we tend to lean into as naturally.

But if we stop.

If we pause.

If we put everything on silent, including ourselves, for just a while in His presence.

If we truly listen for Him to speak to us...oh, what a difference it would make in our walks with Him.
