WHAT ARE YOU TRUSTING IN?
Today's reading: Isaiah 34-39
"Then the Assyrian king's personal representative sent this message to King Hezekiah: This is what the great king of Assyria says: What are you trusting in that makes you so confident?" Isaiah 36:4 NLT
Christian brother or sister, the world should be wanting what we have in the Lord!
Not our fellowship on Sundays.
Or our colorful array of Christian tshirts.
Or the church-y bumper stickers we display on our cars.
We shouldn't be wanting them to want our Bible-based internet sensation video entertainment.
Or even our foot-tapping, hands-clapping music.
They should be wanting the confidence we have in our salvation.
In our relationship with the Living God.
In our assurance of heaven after this life ends.
In our sins having been forgiven.
In the fact that we do not EVER walk alone.
In knowing that every one of our prayers are heard.
In the truth that we have a Father, a Son and a Holy Spirit loving us, having died for us and rose again and interceding for us.
That's what people watching us should want, the confidence we have in our God!
